Ferreira: We are suffering with injuries; we will fight to get the win

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has spoken to the media, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming Qatar Clasico match against Al-Rayyan in Round 12 of the Qatar Stars League, one which is closely followed by a large number of lovers of Qatari football. He said that Al-Sadd knows perfectly well the size and value of this encounter.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “It will be a difficult match. We have been striving in the recent period to prepare well for it despite suffering from a number of injuries and absence of some players. We still have the ability as the coaching staff to compensate for these absences and to find the suitable solutions and ways to play well in the match.”

The Portuguese coach added: “I have had 10 days with the team and this is not enough to know all the players; in addition to that, training is not enough to make an analysis of all the options. The team fell to two successive defeats against Lekhwiya and Al-Sailiya, (but) we will seek to set things right and get the win, which will be important for our campaign.”

The Al-Sadd coach ended his talk saying: “The match will be on a neutral ground as both clubs share the stadium. I hope the stands will be filled with Al-Sadd fans as we are going to fight for a win and the three points.”
