Ferreira: The game against Al-Duhail is crucial, the team with lesser errors will win

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira spoke of the importance of the upcoming game against Al-Duhail in the QNB Stars League Round 9 game, which will be played on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “It will be a very important game, between two teams who are favourites to win the league. Winning the match will give us the top spot. The players don’t need any motivation.”

“This will be an entertaining game for the fans. I hope,” added the coach. “I hope the Al-Sadd fans will be behind us as usual.”

“I don’t have the full-strength team that I wish to have. The team will be a bit different from the last game due to injuries.”

“The team that commits lesser errors will win the game.”

“Everyone knows that it is difficult to predict the result, especially when the two teams match each other in all areas,” said Ferreira, while also stating that Al-Sadd “must win all the matches.”

He continued: “I am not satisfied with the performance of the team until now. We are not playing like we did last season. We’ve had less group training sessions because of international duty. I hope the team’s performance improves.”

Asked about Al-Rayyan coach Michael Laudrup’s wish for Al-Sadd v Al-Duhail to end in a draw, Ferreira said: “If I was in his place, I would have hoped for the same. I hope Al-Gharafa defeat Al-Rayyan.”
