Ferreira: Sailiya match is crucial, we are fighting hard for 2nd place

​Al-Sadd SC head coach Jesualdo Ferreira spoke to the media on Thursday and emphasised on the importance and difficulty of the upcoming QSL Round 24 game against Al-Sailiya.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “The match against Al-Sailiya is really crucial and our objective in it is to win in order to fulfil our goal of finishing in second place in the table. And so we cannot afford to lose points and we will fight to maintain our chances in this match by going for the win.”

The Al-Sadd coach added: “I hope all the players will be at their best so that we can finish the task in the best possible way. We have players who have had international duty and did not train with us recently; we hope they will be physically fit and ready to play as we need the efforts of all the players in this match and all the remaining matches as well to win and finish in 2nd place.”

Ferreira went on to point out that the internationals have not prepared for this match on a team basis, saying: “I hope that we will have enough time to get them into the mood and atmosphere of the match quickly as we strive for the win. There is no option but to win, regardless of who were playing against and all the remaining matches are important.”​
