Ferreira refuses rest for the players ahead of Shahaniya game

The coaching staff of Al-Sadd football first team, led by Jesualdo Ferreira, refused the players a day of rest following the 3-3 draw with Al-Gharafa in their last QSL Round 5 game played on Saturday.

Instead, the team began preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 6 game against Al-Shahaniya, which will be played on Wednesday, November 2nd at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al-Arabi Sports Club.

Al-Sadd are currently in third place in the league table with 11 points, behind leaders Lekhwiya and second-placed El-Jaish who are with 13 points each.

Sunday’s training session saw the coaching staff implement the recovery training for the players who had taken part in the last game, so as to get rid of fatigue.

The team is now scheduled to have its main training session for the Shahaniya game on Monday.
