Ferreira announces squad for the game against Al-Rayyan, Khoukhi ruled out

Al-Sadd player Khoukhi Boualem has been ruled out of the upcoming clash against Al-Rayyan in the QNB Stars League after he was unable to recover fully from a calf muscle injury.

The match is scheduled to be held at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday, with kick off set for 7:30 PM.

Khoukhi’s absence was confirmed after the matchday squad was announced by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira following the final training session on Thursday evening.

The 18-man squad is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barshim, Musab Kheder, Xavi, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Al-Shammari, Saoud Al-Nasr, Yasser Abubakar, Hassan Ahmed, Hatem Kamal, Salem Al-Hajri, Ahmed Bader Sayyar, Baghdad Bounedjah, Morteza Pouraliganji, Jugurtha Hamroun, Pedro Miguel, Fahad Shanin, Ali Asad.

The coaching staff used Thursday’s final training session to implement the physical training programme in addition to making the players undergo light technical drills. Later, the players faced each other in a mini practice game in the centre of the pitch, after which the squad left for a closed camp at the Westin hotel.
