Ferreira announces Al-Sadd squad for Mesaimeer match

​Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the list of probables for the upcoming QSL Round 14 match against Mesaimeer, which is set to kick off at 6:45 PM on Sunday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.

The 18-man squad is as follows: Saad al-Dosari, Steven Tidga, Lee Jung Soo, Mohammed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Nadir Belhadj, Talal al-Baloushi, Khalfan Ibrahim, Nasser Ibrahim, Gaser Yahya, Ali Faydh, Abdulrahman Nasser, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Muriqui, Meshaal al-Shammari, Hussain Bahzad, Saoud Ibrahim and Hassan Ahmed.

The squad list saw the absence of Xavi and Hassan Al-Haydos who will miss the mach due to injury, in addition to five players (Ali Asad, Musab Khodr, Abdulkarim Hassan, Saleh Bader, Muhannad Naim) who are away with the Qatar Olympic team. The coaching staff called up three youth players to make up for the loss in numbers – Hussain Bahzad, Saoud Ibrahim and Hassan Ahmed.

The team held its final training session before the match at the secondary pitch from 5:30 PM on Saturday. The coaching staff laid down the physical training program and also had the players undergo light technical training. Later, the team left for a closed camp at the Grand Heritage Hotel which will last until the time of departure for the match.
