Jesualdo Ferreira, the Portuguese head coach of Al-Sadd, agreed that the upcoming QSL match against Al-Ahli will be tough while also saying that he had confidence in the team. The match is set to kick off at 7:15 PM on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “The match will be tough against a good team which has been putting up strong performances. We need to give our best in order to get the win, despite our recent results which do not show our real level, especially as our players played well but were not lucky.”
Asked about the new signings, Ferreira went on to add: “The club management has its vision about what is good for the team, in terms of who comes and who goes. The Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah is injured and will play for the team once he is in good condition. We as coaches are working with a group of players and we must always respect the strategic decisions of the club and the rules of the FA.”
The Al-Sadd coach ended his talk by saying: “I have full confidence that things will be fine and the results of the team will improve from the Al-Ahli match.”
