Baghdad Bounedjah returns to the squad ahead of Al-Gharafa match
The Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Thursday evening its preparations for the upcoming game against Al-Gharafa in Round 18 of the QSL. The match is set to kick off at 6:40 PM on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Spirited session
The final training session began at 5:30 PM on Thursday evening at the club’s training pitch. The players were in high spirits and the coaches implemented light technical drills alongside focusing on running with and without the ball before moving on to a practice match.
Ferreira selects 18-man matchday squad
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced an 18-man matchday squad for the game against Al-Gharafa. The squad consists of: Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Mohamed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Hussam Kamal, Hassan Ahmed, Jasir Yahya, Xavi, Baghdad Bounedjah, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Pedro, Salem Al-Hajri, Mohammed Waad, Hamed Ismail, Jugurtha Hamroun, Meshaal Qasim.
Bounedjah returns to the squad
Al-Sadd’s Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah was named in the matchday squad after making his return to training on Thursday evening following the end of international duty with his national team at the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Special celebrations for Khalfan
The Al-Sadd team management, coaches and players congratulated midfielder Khalfan Ibrahim on the occasion of the birth of his daughter Aisha.
Closed camp at the Westin Hotel
After the end of the session, the players left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel.
