Back muscle injury rules Xavi out for up to three weeks
Al-Sadd captain Xavi Hernandez has been ruled out of action for up to three weeks after picking up a back muscle injury during the 4-3 defeat to Al-Duhail in the QNB Stars League game played on Thursday.
Xavi was taken off during the first half of the game against Al-Duhail after feeling the strain in his mucle, and was replaced by Akram Afif.
The midfielder then underwent a medical examination with the supervision of the club’s medical staff, after which it was confirmed that he had sustained a first degree tear in the back muscle. He will now need up to three weeks for rehabilitation before rejoing the team for group training.
