Al-Sadd football head coach Hussein Amouta said that he was delighted with the deserved 1-0 win that the Wolves registered over Al-Gharafa in Round 8 of QSL.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Amouta said: “It was a difficult match between Al-Sadd and Al-Gharafa. We praise for the win and the three points.” He pointed out that Al-Sadd deserved to win after all the chances they missed. He was also happy that the win came after two draws agaisnt Al-Khor and Al-Arabi.

The Moroccan coach added: “The players were dedicated tactically and the Korean defender Lee played with a broken hand. Ibrahim Majid is not up to complete fiitness. All this also play a part in the pressure on the team following the withdrawal of 5 players to take part in a friendly match.”

Amouta said that the team always lives under pressure. He said: “Al-Sadd is a team of championships. There is pressure on us to win in every match and today, the match against Al-Gharafa was tough and important. The team that is chasing the title always plays under pressure. Such teams always have to win and give good results,” said the coach. He added: “I challenge any team to put up better performances than Al-Sadd. All this is from the statistics of Prozone.”

The coach added: “The league campaign is long and we are playing for the title. All I am hoping for is for us to score goals as we have missed many chances.”
