Hussein Amouta, football first team head coach at Al-Sadd, has talked of the difficulty of the upcoming encounter with Al-Wakrah in Round 3 of the Qatar Stars League. The match will take place on Sunday, the 27th of September at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Amouta said: “Our aim is to make amends for the draw in the previous match against Umm Salal; we want to win, especially as Al-Sadd always seeks to compete for the title.”
He added: “We lost our attacking aggression in the last match despite being very good offensively last season. We have to work hard and seriously to perform our best and get the win, especially as all the teams are playing defensively against Sadd.” Amouta also pointed out that he was expecting a strong response from the players in the upoming match.
As for the absentees for the Wakrah match, Amouta said: “Khalfan Ibrahim and Ibrahim Majid played with the reserve team against Mesaimeer but neither has reached full readiness yet. In addition to that, there are the four Olympic team players who will miss the next two matches.”
The head coach concluded his talk saying: “We have lots of confidence in the players and their ability to peform their best and to return to winning ways in the next round, even with all teams being more aggressive and competitive.”
