Al-Sadd football first team head coach Hussein Amouta has reiterated the difficulty of the upcoming Qatar Stars League match against Umm Salal, saying that the matches between the two have always been intriguing encounters with Umm Salal stepping up a notch when they face Al-Sadd. The match is scheduled to be played at 6 PM on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
In a press conference prior to the match, Amouta said: “It will be a tough match, completely different from our opener which we won 4-0. And so, we need to be careful and give our best, especially as Umm Salal has some great foreign players, who will have a big role on Thursday.”
When asked for the absentees from Al-Sadd, Amouta said that his time was complete and there were no injury problems although Ibrahim Majid is still in his preparatory phase and will not take part in the match. As for Khalfan Ibrahim, he needs more time to reach full levels but he will play for a bit.
QSL had announced a change in the schedule for the match and to this, the Moroccan coach said that the change in venue to the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium was a good thing despite it holding no technical advantage for either team.
As for Murqui and his hattrick in the last game, Amouta said that he was pleased with his performance and had a lot of confidence in him. “Everyone knows Al-Sadd play a team game but the return of Murqiui does add to our strength.”
The head coach concluded his chat by saying: “The Round 2 match against Umm Salal will be difficult and it will be our first real test; we have to work hard to get another three points.”
