Amouta announces list of probables; Olympic team players absent

​Head coach Hussein Amouta has announced the list of probables for the team that will face Al-Wakrah in Round 3 of the Qatar Stars League. The match will take place at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday with kickoff at 6 PM. The list features 18 players with the absence of four players who are at the national Olympic team camp for the WAFF U23 tournament (Muhannad Naim, Musab Khodr, Saleh Bader, Hamza al-Sanhaji).

Al-Sadd had earlier concluded its training in preparation for the match at 6 PM on Saturday. The coaching staff were keen to focus on the fitness of the players, in addition to technical training and practicing dead ball situation. After the session, Amouta announced the list of probables, which features 18 players: Saad al-Dosari, Muriqui, Lee Jung Soo, Ali Asad, Hassan al-Haydos, Nadir Belhadj, Abdulkarim Hassan, Jaser Yahya, Omar Yahya, Abdulrahman Nasser, Talal al-Baloushi, Mohammed Kasola, Meshaal al-Shammari, Ayoob Mashhoor, Xavi Hernandez, Khalfan Ibrahim, Nasser Ibrahim, Abdulla al-Meseiki.
​The team later departed for the Grand Heritage Hotel where they will have a closed training camp before leaving for the match on Sunday.
