Al-Sanhaji: Happy with Ferreira’s trust; Super Cup match is special

​Al-Sadd attacker Hamza al-Sanhaji spoke of the difficulty of the upcoming Qatar Super Cup match against Lekhwiya for the Sheikh Jassim Trophy. The match is set to kick off at 6 PM on Thursday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium of Al-Ahli Club.

Speaking before the training session on Tuesday, Al-Sanhaji said: “It will be a tough match for both teams and it will require a special way of dealing with it. It is a one-off match; there will only be one winner who will be crowned as the Qatar Super Cup champion and the Wolves are seeking this title to keep it with them.”

Al-Sanhaji went on to add: “We know how strong Lekhwiya is and the dangerous attack they have. But Al-Sadd players have a lot of resonsibility to give their best and get the win.” He also expressed his great delight in the trust placed in him by the technical staff who have allowed him to play as a key player in the recent matches. He said that he will take the opportunity to give his best and help the team to victories.

As for the participation of the Qatari Olympic team at the AFC U23 Championship, Al-Sanhaji said: “Qatar are putting up an excellent performance in an exciting tournament and reaching the knockout round is a great step on the road to the Olympics.” He went on to wish the team the best of luck in its Rio Olympics qualification campaign.​
