Al-Sadd win 71st title in club’s history
Qatar Football Association president H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani presented the Al-Sadd team with the 2020 Qatar Cup trophy, after the Wolves defeated Al-Duhail 4-0 in the final.
The victory gave Al-Sadd their second title in the new name of the competition after the 2017 edition, the seventh in the history of the tournament and the 71st overall title in the history of the club.
Nam Tae-hee opened the scoring in the 5th minute for Al-Sadd, before Baghdad Bounedjahs double (21′,45′) made it 3-0. Akram Afif then dispatched a penalty in the 72nd minute to complete the scoring.
