Al-Sadd to play in white, Al-Rayyan in red and black
The technical meeting for the Emir Cup final was held at the Al-Bidaa tower on Thursday afternoon, with the representatives of finalists Al-Sadd and Al-Rayyan in attendance.
The match is set to kick off at 7 PM at the Khalifa International Stadium.
The meeting was chaired by Emir Cup head of competitions Ahmed Al-Adsani and was attended by head of operations Ahmed Al-Sayed, committee coordinator Abdullah Jassim, match observer Ali Humood Al-Nuaimi, Al-Sadd team manager Abdullah Al-Breik and Al-Rayyan management official Omar Al-Azani, in addition to the representative of the security forces.
Ahmed Al-Adsani began the meeting by greeting all those present before going on to congratulate the two teams on reachning the final. He wished the teams good luck and expressed his hope for a great match that will be worthy of the Emir Cup final.
The schedule for the final matchday was discussed next and Al-Adsani stressed on the importance of sticking to it. The matchday kits were also decided; Al-Sadd will wear all-white while Al-Rayyan will play in red and black.
The attendees were also briefed about the need to have accreditation cards to enter the pitch. They were also reminded of the tournament’s format and the fact that the match will head to penalties if the teams draw at the end of 90 minutes, without any extra time period.
Also discussed was the need to cooperate with the referees and to not oppose any of the refereeing decisions.
Refereeing representative Abdullah Al-Baloushi stressed on the need to adhere to the referee and the importance of having sportsmanship.
