Al-Sadd to play in all-white, Al-Rayyan in red and black
The technical meeting for the Qatar Cup 2017 semifinal matches was held at the Al-Bida Tower on Tuesday morning and was chaired by QSL head of competitions Ahmed Al-Adsani.
The meeting was attended by officials from each participating team: Rashid Al-Kaabi (El-Jaish), Waleed Bakheet (Lekhwiya), Omar Al-Azani (Al-Rayyan) and Mohammed Saeed (Al-Sadd).
At the start of the meeting, Ahmed Al-Adsani greeted all those present before wishing them the best of luck in the Qatar Cup matches, which will be held at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The first match of the competition will see Al-Sadd take on Al-Rayyan in the semifinal which will be played on Thursday, April 20 with kickoff at 7 PM. The second semifinal will be played between El-Jaish and Lekhwiya on Friday, April 21.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the important details related to the organization of the matches. The kits for each team was also decided.
Al-Sadd are set to play in all-white while Al-Rayyan will play in red and black.
The need to have accreditation cards was emphasised while there was also an explanation of the rules of the tournament, which will involve no extra time in case of a draw. A penalty shootout will follow directly instead.
