Al-Sadd set to leave for Austria on July 20 for preseason camp

Al-Sadd’s preseason scheduled for the 2017-18 season has been decided with the team set to leave for a training camp in Austria in July.

The camp will be held from the 20th of July and will go on until the 5th of August. Three friendly matches will be played during the period, against opponents who will be announced soon. The matches will be played on July 26, July 30 and August 3.

The team will be based in the Bad Häring region, close to the city of Wörgl on the Austria-Germany border. This is the first time that Al-Sadd are training in this region. The city is only 45 minutes away from Munich and is situated in a mountainous region. The squad will take residence at the Hotel Das Sieben for the duration of the camp.

The Austrian training camp will be preceded by training in Doha, which will begin on July 15, when the team will launch their preparations for the new season with physical and technical training before choosing the squad list that will travel to Austria.

Al-Sadd finished the 2016-17 Qatar Stars League season in 2nd place with 61 points. The team then went on to win the Qatar Cup for the first time before adding their 16th Emir Cup title.
