The Al-Sadd Club football first team squad is all set to fly out of Doha at 1:30 AM on 25th July, as the team looks to continue its preseason training in the Austrian town of Kaprun. The foreign camp will be held between the 25th of this month and the 10th of August.
The team will first board a flight to Munich after which they will head to their destination of Kaprun.
The group will include, in addition to management and technical staff, 26 players: Muhannad Naim, Saad al-Sheeb, Musa Mohammed, Abdulrahman Nasser, Omar Yahya, Nadir Belhadj, Alaadeen Younes, Hamad Mansour, Jaser Yahya, Mohammed Kasola, Ayyub Mashhoor, Talal al-Baloushi, Saleh Bader, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Lee Jung Soo, Muriqui, Meshaal Qasem, Musab Khodr, Abdulla al Meseiki, Hassan al-Haydos, Khalfan Ibrahim, Ali Asad, Abdulkarim Hassan, Nasser Ibrahim Sankees, Ahmed al-Hardi, Yousef Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Spanish star Xavi is set to join the team for training in Kaprun, having signed for the club in June for two seasons.
First team head coach Hussein Amouta will have his men play three friendlies during the foreign camp. Al-Sadd will play Al-Nassr (KSA) on the 2nd of August, Al-Ain (UAE) on the 5th and a team that will be announced in due course, on the 8th. In addition to these three, the reserve team will play two matches on the 3rd and 6th of August.
Before departing Doha, the players will undergo fitness tests at the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence on Friday morning. This will be conducted under the supervision of Qatar Stars League officials, as part of preparations for the upcoming season which begins on the 11th of September.
