Al-Sadd returns to training in the woods
The Al-Sadd football first team took to training in the woods again during their morning practice session during the 2016/17 preseason camp currently being held in Kaprun, Austria. The goal of such a session is to raise the endurance levels of the players and improve their fitness.
Tactical training in the evening
The evening session began from 5:30 PM Austrian time and saw the team undergo tactical training, under the supervision of head coach Jesualdo Ferreira. It varied between the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.
The session had began with the warmup rountine before moving on to ball drills in small areas. This was followed by a practice match held in the middle of the pitch, during which the focus was on the offensive and defensive movement of the players, in addition to the carrying out the specific requirements of each position. Ferreira intervened on a number of occasions to correct the errors of the players, especially those that had to do with long ball play and also covering for a teammate.
Rest in the morning on Thursday
The players will be given rest from training in the morning session on Thursday and will resume regular training later in the evening on the ground.
