Al-Sadd resume training, begin preparations for the Emir Cup final
The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 6:30 PM on Tuesday evening, beginning their preparations for the upcoming Emir Cup final against Al-Rayyan. The match is set to be played on Friday, the 19th of May at the Khalifa Stadium.
The players had earlier taken a day off as rest on Monday, after they had defeated El-Jaish in the semifinal on Sunday.
Tuesday’s session saw great participation from all the stars of the team, with the coaches implementing the physical training routine for the first string players while the rest of the players underwent intense technical and tactical training.
Management shows its support
Representatives of the club’s management attended the session in order to show their support to the players ahead of the Emir Cup final.
Huge fan presence
Lots of Al-Sadd fans were also in attendance on Tuesday to watch the first team train and motivate the players to win the Cup.

Fahad Shanin encourages the players
Al-Sadd player Fahad Shanin, who is currently on loan at Belgian first division side Eupen, attended the session in order to support the team and the players as they prepare for the big game.
Closed session on Wednesday
The team has decided to hold a closed training session on Wednesday at the main pitch of the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. Fans and media will not be allowed to enter.
Thursday’s session at Khalifa Stadium
Meanwhile, the team is also scheduled to hold Thursday’s training session at the Khalifa International Stadium, the venue for Friday’s Emir Cup final.
