Al-Sadd resume training after rest to begin preparations for Umm Salal
The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 5:30 PM at the club’s training pitch on Friday after taking a day off on Thursday following the 5-0 win over Al-Rayyan in the last QSL match.
The Wolves thus kickstarted on Friday evening their preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 11 game against Umm Salal, which will be played on Monday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The coaching staff, led by Jesualdo Ferreira, were keen to put a balance between the physical and technical routines considering the gruelling schedule of matches in December.
Before the start of the training session on Friday, the coaching staff held a coordination meeting with the players to talk about the importance of the upcoming game, the need to work hard and implement the training programme and to benefit from the big win over Al-Rayyan.
Rest for the reserves
The reserve team playes were given a rest and did not train on Friday, after they played the QatarGas League Round 7 match against Lekhwiya on Thursday. The match ended in a 1-0 win for Lekhwiya.
