Al-Sadd resume training after Eid break, Ibrahim Majid set to undergo surgery
The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training on Saturday evening following a two-day break for Eid ul Adha. The training session kicked off at 6:30 PM and is part of the team’s ongoing preparations for the Super Cup match against Al-Duhail, which will be played on September 9 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
The session was held in the absence of the 6 Qatar national team players who are away on international duty, in addition to defender Morteza Pouraliganji who is also away with the Iranian national team.
During the session, the coaching staff focused on physical training, especially as the players are returning from a period of rest. The coaches also implemented some tactical moves with head coach Ferreira emphasizing the importance of proper and quick passing in midfield.
Meanwhile, Al-Sadd defender Ibrahim Majid is set to undergo an ACL surgery on Sunday morning at the Aspetar hospital in Doha. Ibrahim suffered the injury during the friendly game against Muaither, which was played on August 24.
