Al-Sadd lose to Al-Taawon in a friendly

Al-Sadd football first team lost to Al-Taawon 1-6 in a friendly match played on Friday evening. The regular XI started played in the first half while the reserves played in the second. The match was played as part of the preparation for the upcoming Qatar Super Cup match against Lekhwiya, which is set to be played on Thursday.
The Wolves started the first half with the following players: Saad al-Dosari, Ibrahim Majid, Abdulrahman Nasser, Gaser Yahya, Nadir Belhadj, Talal al-Baloushi, Xavi, Khalfan Ibrahim, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Hassan al-Haydos and Muriqui.
The Wolves started the match strongly and Muriqui managed to open the scoring in the 25th minute before Jehad Hussain equalized for Al-Taawon with a header in the 34th minute. Four minutes later Congolese strker Efolo missed a penalty for Al-Taawon. At the stroke of halftime, Adnan Fallatah scored the second goal for Al-Taawon.
With the start of the second half, Al-Sadd replaced all 11 players and brought on Meshaal Barsham, Alaadeen Younes, Hamad Mansour, Hossam Kamel, Omar Yahya, Saleh Bader, Nasser Ibrahim, Meshaal al-Shammari, Ayoob Mashhoor, Abdulrahman Mohammed and Mohammed Ibrahim.
Al-Taawon then scored four more times in the second half with the first by Sandro with a 50th minute penalty, followed by Rabee Sufyani (55th) and Efolo (65th, 71st).
