Al Sadd honour Red Crescent volunteers

Al-Sadd club officials today honoured the Qatar Red Crescent Society volunteers who had accompanied the first team during the stipulated hotel quarantine period, ahead of the resumption of the QNB Stars League matches.

Head coach Xavi Hernandez and sports director Mohamed Ghulam, presented the club’s shields to the Red Crescent duo Muhammad Nasser Mashhadi and Muhammad Falah Al-Shammari, in appreciation of their efforts.

The duo, who accompanied the first team during their stay in the hotel, displayed commitment and discipline throughout the period, and served as examples of young Qatari volunteers who step up to serve the country whenever needed.

Muhammad Mashhadi and Muhammad al-Shammari expressed their sincere appreciation and thanks to the team’s management for their cooperation.

Meanwhile, the first stage of Al-Sadd’s preparations have thus been completed and coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his full satisfaction with the team’s work. He added that the second stage will see a lot more focus on the physical aspects and will also include the start of tactics training, all within the precautionary protocol laid down by the Qatar Stars League management.  The club’s Qatari international players are also set to return during the second stage.
