AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Nasaf

The Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Sunday, ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League Group C clash with FC Nasaf of Uzbekistan.

The Matchday Four game against Nasaf will kick off at 6:15 PM at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. Al-Sadd currently have 6 points and are level with Persepolis and Nasaf after two wins and a defeat.

Al-Sadd won their first match 2-1 over Al-Wasl in Dubai, before defeating Persepolis 3-1 in Doha on Matchday Two. In the last game, Al-Sadd lost 0-1 to Nasaf in Qarshi.

During Sunday’s main training session, the coaching staff looked to decide on their options for the starting lineup. The players worked on physical and technical drills before moving on to a mini practice game.

The session also saw the return of Xavi, who worked hard in training after recovering from a muscle injury which he sustained during the game against Al-Duhail in the QNB Stars League.

Meanwhile, the technical coordination meeting for the game against Nasaf will be held from 11 AM on Monday at the Al-Sadd Club hall, while the pre-match press conference is scheduled to be held from 4:30 PM at the Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.
