Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for El-Jaish
Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session from 6:30 PM on Thursday evening, as part of the preparation for the upcoming match against El-Jaish in the 26th and final round of the Qatar Stars League.
The Wolves go into the match sitting in 2nd place in the league table with 58 points, four points behind Lekhwiya, who have clinched the title. El-Jaish are currently in fourth place with 45 points.
Intense training
The coaching staff, led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira, were keen to intensify preparations and focused on the physical, technical and tactical aspects. The match against El-Jaish will be good preparation for Al-Sadd’s match against Al-Rayyan in the Qatar Cup semifinal on April 20.
Bounedjah and Meshaal suspended
The duo of Baghdad Bounedjah and Meshaal Al-Shammari will both be suspended for the game against El-Jaish. Bounedjah received the automatic suspension after he picked up his fourth yellow card in the last league game against Al-Sailiya in Round 25 of the QSL. Meshaal, on the other hand, was sent off in the Al-Sadd reserve team’s game against Al-Sailiya reserves in QatarGas League.
Return of Hamed
Hamed Ismail will return to contention for the game against El-Jaish after he missed the last game due to suspension.
Salem Al-Hajri continues his physical recovery
Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al-Hajri continued on the road to full physical recovery by undergoing training under the supervision of fitness coach Joao Marcos. He is now looking to get back to group training as quickly as possible.
