Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for El Jaish

In ideal conditions and amidst high spirits, the Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session at the club training pitch on Saturday evening as part of preparations for the QSL Round 13 match against El Jaish. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 PM on Monday at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium of Al-Gharafa Club.
Al-Sadd go into the match with 24 points after a morale-boosting return to second place in the table following their 2-1 win over Al-Rayyan in Round 12. As for El Jaish, they are in third place with 23 points after their 2-3 defeat to Umm Salal in their last match.
Training on Saturday was held in ideal conditions with the coaching staff, led by Jesualdo Ferreira meeting with the team before the start of the session in order to specify the objectives of the team in the upcoming match, which will be a huge test. The coaches were keen to apply some tactical moves in the session, with focus given to offense and the movement of the players in different directions. Later, the players were divided into two groups and played a highly-competitive practice scrimmage in the middle of the pitch.
Huge support from the management
Mohammed Ghanem al-Ali, Head of Football, attended the session to support the players and encourage them to win the upcoming match and get closer to the top.

The Portuguese newspaper Record was at the club on Saturday evening to cover the training session and hold interviews with the coaching staff and players such as Xavi.
Goalkeepers train hard
The three goalkeepers of the team (Saad al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim and Steven Tidga) trained hard under the supervision of goalkeeping coach Nando Scarpello who focused on training their agility, balance and reactions.
Final training session and squad list
The team will hold their final training session before the match on Sunday from 5:30 PM onwards, after which the coach will announce the list of probables for the match.
