Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Al-Sailiya

The Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session to prepare for the upcoming QNB Stars League game against Al-Sailiya, which will be played on Friday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al-Sadd go into the match without any points after losing the Round 1 game against Al-Muaither 1-2. Al-Sailiya, on the other hand, defeated Al-Arabi 3-1 in their league opener.

The main training session was used by the coaching staff to select their options for the starting XI, with all the available players looking to impress the coaches to earn their trust.

Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira worked on correcting the players’ errors, especially with their movement across the pitch, from the wings and from deep too. Later, the coaches had the players play out a practice match during which certain tactical moves were implemented.

Before the session began, Ferreira held a meeting with the players to speak to them about the objectives of the match.

Meanwhile, Al-Sadd defender Fahad Shanin returned to group training after missing the last game against Al-Markhiya due to injury.
