Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Al-Arabi
In rainy conditions, the Al-Sadd football first team held their main training session from 6 PM on Tuesday evening at the club’s training pitch as part of the preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 21 match against Al-Arabi.
Al-Sadd go into the match sitting in second place in the league table with 47 points, having won their last game against Al-Wakrah 3-1. As for Al-Arabi, they are in 7th place with 23 points. In the earlier game in the first phase between the two teams, Al-Sadd defeated Al-Arabi 3-2.
Tuesday’s session saw the coaching staff focus on choosing the options for the starting lineup against Al-Arabi.
Meeting before the match
Before the start of the session, the coaches met with the players in the middle of the pitch to talk to them about the important talking points ahead of the game.
Training in the gym
The players underwent training in the gym for about 20 minutes before the start of the session in order to increase muscle strength and fitness.
Scarpello trains the keepers
Goalkeeping coach Nando Scarpello intensified the training programme for the three Al-Sadd goalkeepers Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim and Mohammed Ezzeldin, with specialized training to improve reactions.
Press conference on Wednesday
The pre-match press conference for the game between Al-Sadd and Al-Arabi will be held from 11:30 PM at the Al-Sadd Club conference hall with head coach Jesualdo Ferreira and attacker Hassan Al-Haydos representing the Wolves.
