Al-Sadd holds main training session ahead of Mesaimeer match

The football first team at Al Sadd held their main training at the secondary pitch from 6:15 PM on Friday evening, in preparation for the Qatar Stars League 1st round match against Mesaimeer. The game will be played on Sunday night at the Grand Hamad Stadium.
Al-Sadd approach the game in high spirits, especially as it is the first game of a season in which they aim to compete strongly for the title. Mesaimeer, on the other hand, are playing their first ever match in the QSL after their promotion last season.
The main training session on Friday witnessed participation from all the stars of the first team and the coaching staff was keen to raise the fitness levels of the players ahead of the league opener. The players appeared to be in top shape and ready to go.
The staff, led by head coach Hussein Amouta also used the main training session to focus on ball skills, which varied between the offensive and defensive aspects of the game, before having a practice scrimmage in the middle of the field, which saw the enthusaistic participation of all involved.
· Technical meeting before the training session
The coaching staff ensured that they held a meeting with the players before the start of training session to talk about crucial technical points, before first game against Mesaimeer which will kick off the 2015/16 campaign.

The Spanish newspaper Marca covered the training session on Firday, as part of its coverage of the Spanish star Xavi Hernandez ahead of his debut for Al-Sadd against Mesaimeer on Sunday. Marca representatives Oscar Cambio and Juan Castro were present.
· Amouta and Gaser Yahya to attend the press conference
Head coach Hussein Amouta and midfielder Gasser Yahya will attend the pre-match press conference for the Mesaimeer match, which will be held at 10 AM on Saturday morning at Al-Bidaa Tower.
· Final training session and team list
Al-Sadd will have their last training session before the game at 6 PM on Saturday night, after which the coach will announce the list of players who will participate in the match.
