Al-Sadd hold main training session to prepare for Al-Sailiya
The Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Wednesday, as part of the preparation for the upcoming QSL Round 12 game against Al-Sailiya, which will kick off at 4 PM on Friday at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.
Al-Sadd go into the match sitting in second place in the league table with 27 points while Al-Sailiya are in eighth place with 12 points.
In their last QSL game, Al-Sadd defeated Umm Salal 8-0 while Al-Sailiya defeated Al-Gharafa 2-1.
Selecting the lineup
The coaching staff used the main session to choose their options for the starting lineup for the game. All the players trained hard to gain the trust of the coach and play in the match.
Correcting errors
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira gave importance to correcting errors in the players’ movements while also holding a practice match in which he implemented defensive and offensive tactics.
Technical meeting
Ferreira held a meeting with the players before the start of the session in order to talk about the important technical points of the upcoming game.
Change of venue
The venue for the Round 12 game against Al-Sailiya was changed from Al-Ahli Club’s Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium to Qatar SC’s Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium, considering the maintenance work that needs to be done at the former.
