Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Al-Duhail clash

The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Thursday evening, ahead of the upcoming clash with Al-Duhail. The QNB Stars League Round 9 game will be played on Saturday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al-Sadd go into the game with sitting in third place in the league table with a tally of 15 points and two games in hand – against Al-Arabi and Al-Khor.

Head coach Xavi Hernandez and his staff held a meeting with the players before the start of Thursday’s session, setting out the team’s objectives in the upcoming game.

The coaching staff worked on offensive strategies and player movement, before conducting a practice mini-game in the centre of the pitch.

Al-Sadd’s goalkeeping coach Xavi Ferrando supervised intense training for the team’s three keepers – Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham and Jehad Mohammed, focusing on agility, balance and reactions.

The team will now hold their final training session from 5:30 PM onwards on Friday at the club’s secondary pitch, after which Xavi will announce the matchday squad.
