Al-Sadd first team set to travel for preseason camp on Sunday

The Al-Sadd first team delegation is all set to leave for Spain on Sunday, for the upcoming two-week overseas camp, during which the team will prepare for the new 2019-20 season.

The team will depart from Doha at 3 PM, heading towards Barcelona, from where they will travel to Girona, the venue for the camp.

Apart from the players, the delegation will include coaching and technical staff, in addition to team officials. While the international players have been given a break, the rest of the team began training in Doha on July 7. The entire team is now scheduled to assemble in Girona.

Al-Sadd team officials had chosen Girona as their base after consulting with new head coach Xavi Hernandez. Girona is situated around 100 kilometres away from Barcelona.

The team will play three friendly games during the camp, against Palamos on July 21, Olot on July 24 and finally Sabadell on July 28.
