Al-Sadd fans bid farewell to goalkeeper coach Scarpello
Fans of Al-Sadd organized a farewell function for the departing first team goalkeeper coach Nando Scarpello, who is returning to his native Italy for personal reasons.
The function to honour Scarpello took place on Monday evening at the Al-Sadd club hall. The event was attended by club vice president Nasser Mubarak Al-Ali, sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi, first team manager Abdullah Al-Breik, media manager Ahmed Al-Ansari and a number of fans and well-wishers of the club.
Scarpello went on to thank the Al-Sadd officials and fans for his stint with the team, saying that he had a great time at Al-Sadd and that he considered himself a member of the family at “the Boss” of Qatari football.
The goalkeeper coach added: “My relationship with the club management will not be broken especially as it is a strong bond that I have with all the officials.” He also praise the efforts of the management in helping the team to title victories.
Scarpello’s time at the club has witnessed a huge improvement in the levels of the Al-Sadd goalkeepers, particularly Saad Al-Dosari who impressed in goal for both club and country
