In an exciting friendly played on Wednesday evening, Al-Sadd fought out a goalless draw with their Emirati opponents Al-Ain. The friendly was held in the Austrian city of Mittersill and was the second of three preseason friendlies scheduled as part of our preparatory training camp for the 2015/16 season.
The Wolves started the first half well but although they were able to dominate, they could not open the scoring and the score at halftime remained 0-0.
The second half saw head coach Hussein Amouta make a number of substitutions to test a few players. Both sides had lots of attempts on goal amidst great physical effort and spirit from the players. However, the game still ended goalless at the final whistle.
Al-Sadd started the game with the following 11 players: Saad al Sheeb, Lee Jong, Abdulkarim Hassan, Nadir Belhadj, Musab Khodr, Xavi, Talal al Baloushi, Ali Asad, Saleh Bader, Hassan Al Haydos and Muriqui.
The second-half substitutes were Jaser Yahya, Meshaal al Shammari, Hamza al Sanhaji, Omar Yahya and Ahmed al Hardi.
