Al-Sadd delegation warmly upon arrival in Qarshi
The Al-Sadd football first team delegation safely reached Qarshi, Uzbekistan at 7 PM Qatar time on Saturday, after flying from Doha in a chartered jet.
The Wolves are set to face Group C opponents FC Nasaf in the Matchday Three fixture which will be played on Monday at the Qarshi Central Stadium.
Upon arrival in Qarshi, the Al-Sadd delegation was received warmly with bouquets and a band playing the city’s music.
The Al-Sadd delegation consists of management officials, coaching and the following 19 players: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Abdelkarim Hassan, Morteza Pouraliganji, Baghdad Bounedjah, Pedro Miguel, Ahmed Sohail, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Akram Afif, Salem Al-Hajri, Hassan Ahmed, Ahmed Sayyar, Musab Kheder, Jugurtha Hamroun, Hamed Ismail, Yasser Abubakar, Ali Ferydoon, Jehad Mohammed.
Before leaving for Qarshi, the team held its main training session at 11 AM at the main pitch of the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, during which the coaching staff focused on choosing their options for the starting lineup.
The Al-Sadd delegation will stay at the Sultan Hotel in Qarshi. After reaching the city on Saturday, the squad had their dinner at the hotel before retiring to their rooms for the night.
The team is now scheduled to hold its lone pre-match training session in Qarshi, from 6:30 PM local time (4:30 PM Qatar) at the match venue.
Meanwhile, the pre-match press conference has been scheduled for 12 PM on Sunday afternoon, after which the technical meeting will be held from 2:30 PM.
