Al-Sadd defeat NK Krka 8-1 in final pre-season friendly

Al-Sadd registered a convincing 8-1 win over Slovenian side NK Krka in the third and final friendly of the 2018-19 pre-season training camp in Bad Haring, Austria.

While NK Krka opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Al-Sadd soon wrested control of the game and went on to score eight goals without reply. Baghdad Bounedjah struck five times for the Wolves, while Akram Afif, Jugurtha Hamroun and Ahmed Bader Sayyar netted a goal apiece.

Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira began the match with the following lineup: Saoud Al-Hajri, Hamid Ismail, Pedro, Ibrahim Majid, Yasir Abubakar, Xavi, Gabi, Boualem Khoukhi, Hassan Ahmed, Baghdad Bounedjah, Akram Afif.

Ali Asad, Jung Woo-young and Abdelkarim Hassan came on as substitutes in the beginning of the second half. Ferreira went on to make wholesale changes after the sixth goal in the 60th minute, bringing on Ahmed Suhail, Ahmed Sayyar, Salem Al-Hajri, Hamroun, Tareq Salman, Musab Kheder, Hassan Al-Haydos, Hamza Al-Sanhaji and Jehad Mohammed.
