Al-Sadd defeat Mesaimeer in a friendly

The Al-Sadd football first team defeated Mesaimeer 3-2 in a friendly match played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadiumon Friday night as preparation for the upcoming Round 5 of the Qatar Stars League. After four rounds, Al-Sadd are currently at second place in the league table, with 10 points coming from 3 wins and a draw. The team will face Qatar SC next on October 18.
Al-Sadd midfielder Khalfan Ibrahim opened the scoring on the night with a solo effort in the 37th minute. Just before the halftime whistle, Xavi Hernandez added a second with a fine free kick from just outside the box.
After the restart, Nadir Belhadj scored the third goal for Al-Sadd in the 49th minute. In the 70th minute, most of the Al-Sadd starting XI was replaced by substitutes. After that, Mesaimeer reduced the deficit through a Muhannad Adnan goal in the 85th minute before Saud Nasser added a second for them from the spot in the 90th minute.
