Al-Sadd defeat El-Jaish 2-1 in QatarGas League

The Al-Sadd reserve team registered its third straight victory in the QatarGas League after defeating El-Jaish reserves 2-1 in the Round 14 match played at the Al-Sailiya Club ground on Sunday.

The result means that Al-Sadd now have 13 points from 14 games (4 wins, 1 draw and 9 defeats).

It was El-Jaish who opened the scoring through Jassim Al-Hashmi in the 10th minute before Muhannad Naim equalized for Al-Sadd from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Al-Sadd then took the lead in the 25th minute through Hassan Ahmed. The first half thus ended with the Wolves leading 2-1.

In the second half, a period of calm descended on the match with both teams not showing much attacking fervour. Al-Sadd maintained their domination right up to the final whistle, holding on to register their third straight win.

Al-Sadd began the match with the following lineup: Muhannad Naim, Ghassan Waheed, Mohammed Waad, Jasir Yahya, Ahmed Younes, Khalifa Al-Yazidi, Ayoob Mashhoor, Abdulaziz Al-Jalabi, Ahmed Bader Al-Sayar, Hassan Ahmed and Saoud Ibrahim.
