Al-Sadd defeat Al-Sailiya 3-1 in the final round of the QatarGas League

The Al-Sadd football reserve team registered a deserved 3-1 win over Al-Sailiya reserves in the 17th and final round of the 2016-17 QatarGas League, in the match played on Monday evening at the Al-Sailiya Club ground.

The result meant that Al-Sadd finished the campaign with 19 points from 17 games (6 wins, 1 draw and 10 defeats).

Saoud Ibrahim opened the scoring for Al-Sadd early on in the 3rd minute before Khaled Bader Al-Yazidi doubled the lead in the 38th minute. Mohammed Waad then netted the third for Al-Sadd just two minutes later. The first half thus ended with Al-Sadd carrying a 3-0 lead. In the second half, Al-Sailiya reduced the deficit with their lone goal, which was scored by Fahad Breik Al-Marri in the 68th minute.

The match witnessed the sending off of Al-Sadd’s Meshaal Al-Shammari and Al-Sailiya’s Mohammed Al-Marri.
