Al-Sadd continues training under supervision of Zahid
The Al-Sadd football first team continued to train for the second straight day under the supervision of assistant coach Hisham Zahid, as part of the preparations for the new 2016/17 season.
The Wolves had earlier launched their preseason training on Sunday, with many players keen to be present from the first day in order to prepare well for the start of the season.
On Monday, assistant coach Zahid focused on the physical aspects, holding gym training and fitness exercises to improve the physical condition of the players.
Zahid also divided the players into two groups for the ball training exercises which involved short and quick passing amidst changing places, in addition to training the ability of the player to hold the ball while pressured by an opponent. There was also shooting drills, with players attempting shots from deep and from the sides.
Intense training for the goalkeepers
Meanwhile, the four goalkeepers (Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Musa Mohammed and Ahmed Ezzeldeen) underwent intense training under the supervision of goalkeeping coach Nando Scarpello who focused on improving their reflexes and movements.
