Al-Sadd continues to prepare for new season
The Al-Sadd football first team continued with its routine training sessions on Friday, starting from 6:30 PM at the main pitch of the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. The team is preparing for the start of the Qatar Stars League in September. The season opener for the Wolves will be against Al-Kharaitiyat on September 16.
The team has been training in Doha since the 4th of August following the return from Austria, where the foreign training camp was held between 16th and 30th of July.
Friday’s session saw strong displays from all the available players of the team. The coaching staff looked to place emphasis on technical and tactical aspects of the game. The players underwent special training for attacking and defending when the ball comes in from deep and also from the wings. There was also a focus on shooting practice.
Before the outdoor training began, the coaching staff ensured that the players had a gym session where they strengthened their muscles and trained their reflexes and reactions.
The team is now scheduled to take two days off from training as a break before resuming on Monday, the 15th of August with a session from 6:30 PM.
