Al-Sadd continues preparations for Al-Nassr, Nam returns to group training
The Al-Sadd first team held their practice session on Monday as part of the preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Al Nassr. The game is set to be played on September 16 at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The team trained without their Qatar senior national team and Olympic team players, who are away on international duty, in addition to Baghdad Bounedjah and Jung Woo-young, who have joined the Algeria and South Korea national team camps.
The coaching staff, led by head coach Xavi Hernandez, worked on physical fitness levels, in addition to specialised attacking and drills.
Also, Al-Sadd midfielder Nam Tae-hee was a prominent presence during the session, after making his return from the muscle injury which he sustained in last month’s Sheikh Jassim Cup final.
Nam underwent recuperation and recovery training during the last few weeks before gradually returning to normal training, in order to reach full fitness ahead of Al Nassr clash.
