Al-Sadd continue to train without internationals
While the QSL is on its ongoing international break, the Al-Sadd football team continued to train as usual, preparing for the Round 3 clash against Lekhwiya on October 16.
Al-Sadd is currently on top of the league standings with 6 points from two games after defeating Al-Kharaitiyat 4-0 and Al-Ahli 2-1.
The Wolves’ training session on Wednesday was held in the absence of 6 Qatari players who were away with the national Olympic team (Abdulaziz Al-Khalosi, Hossam Kamal, Hatem Kamal, Meshaal Al-Shammari, Ayoob Mashhoor and Salem Al-Hajri).
First team defender Musab Kheder joined the senior national team training camp ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against South Korea and Syria. In addition to Musab, there are 7 other Al-Sadd players currently with the squad: Saad Al-Dosari, Abdelkarim Hassan, Mohammed Kasola, Pedro Miguel, Ibrahim Majid, Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos.
The coaching staff focused on physical training in order to help the players reach the required levels of fitness before the league resumes. There was also attention given to technical and tactical aspects of the game. All the available players participating prominently, including Khalfan Ibrahim and Abdulaziz Al-Ansari, who have returned from injuries.
The team is now scheduled to continue training on Thursday before taking two days off as rest on Friday and Saturday. Training will resume as usual from 6 PM on Sunday at the club secondary pitch.
