Al-Sadd conclude training, Ferreira announces squad for the Cup

Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Wednesday night its preparation for the upcoming game against Lekhwiya in the Sheikh Jassim Cup final which will kick off at 6 PM on Thursday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.

The coaching staff put in place the physical conditioning and training regimen and also made the team undergo some light technical drills. There were also some reaction exercises to strengthen muscles. After the training session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the squad for the match. The 18-man list is as follows: Saad al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Ibrahim Majid, Mohammed Kasola, Lee Jung Soo, Abdulrahman Nasser, Nadir Belhadj, Omar Yahya, Talal al-Baloushi, Xavi, Hassan al-Haydos, Nasser Ibrahim, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Saleh Bader, Khalfan Ibrahim, Meshaal al-Shammari, Muriqui, Gaser Yahya.

After the session, the Wolves left for a closed camp at the Wyndham Regency which will last until the time of departure for the match.

Return of Saad, Xavi and Lee

The training session saw the return of the trio of Saad al-Dosari, Xavi and Lee Jung Soo who had missed the last match due to injury.

Special training for penalty shootouts

The team practiced penalties during the session as a means of preparing for the possibility of a penalty shootout in case of a draw after regulation time.
