Al-Sadd conclude preparations to face Al-Wakrah
The Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Friday evening its preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 20 game against Al-Wakrah, which is set to be played on Saturday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Light session
The coaching staff implemented light technical training during Friday’s session at the club’s training pitch. The players also took part in a practice match among themselves.
Absence of four suspended players
The matchday squad for the game against Al-Wakrah excludes the names of 4 players who are suspended: Ibrahim Majid, Pedro, Baghdad Bounedjah and Hamed Ismail. Pedro and Bounedjah were both sent off in the game against Al-Shahaniya whereas Ibrahim Majid was given a one-month suspension by the disciplnary committee of the QFA. Hamed Ismail has also been suspended pending further enquiry.
Return of Kasola and Hamroun
The squad announcement saw the return of Mohammed Kasola and Jugurtha Hamroun who had both missed the last league game against Al-Shahaniya.
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced an 18-man matchday squad for the game, which consists of: Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Morteza Pouraliganji, Mohammed Waad, Hussam Kamal, Hassan Ahmed, Jasir Yahya, Xavi, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Mohammed Kasola, Salem Al-Hajri, Khalfan Ibrahim, Jugurtha Hamroun, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Al-Shammari and Ahmed Sohail.
Closed camp at Westin
After the session, the first team left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
