Al-Sadd conclude preparations to face Al-Rayyan
The Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Saturday evening its preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 24 game against Al-Rayyan, which will be played on Sunday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Skills training with the ball
The coaching staff used Saturday’s final training session to focus on the physical aspects, in addition to working on training technical ball skills. The players then moved on to indiviudal drills in small areas before the session was concluded with a practice match.
Ferreira announces the squad
At the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad for the game against Al-Rayyan.
The squad is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdulkarim Hassan, Morteza Pouraliganji, Hussam Kamal, Baghdad Bounedjah, Jasir Yahya, Xavi, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Jugurtha Hamroun, Abdulaziz Al-Jalabi, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Qasim, Ahmed Bader Sayar, Hamid Ismail, Ibrahim Majid, Pedro Miguel.
Return of Ibrahim Majid, Pedro and Hamroun
The squad announcement confirmed the return of Ibrahim Majid, Pedro and Jugurtha Hamroun after the trio missed Al-Sadd’s last game against Umm Salal in Round 23. Ibrahim had been suffering from an illness while Hamroun was not deemed to be fit. Pedro, on the other hand, was suspended after picking up four yellow cards.
Illness rules out Khalfan
Khalfan Ibrahim will have no part to play in Sunday’s match after an illness ruled him out of the matchday squad. He also missed Saturday’s training session due to the illness.
Closed camp at Westin
The team then left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
