Al-Sadd conclude preparations for first preseason friendly against Goztepe

Al-Sadd first team concluded its preparations for the upcoming friendly against Turkish first division side Goztepe, after holding a final pre-match training session in Bad Häring on Tuesday.

The match against Goztepe is the first of three preseason friendlies for the Wolves and is set to be played on Wednesday.

Tuesday’s morning session saw the players train inside the Hotel Das Sieben gym in order to work on muscle strength.

In the evening, the coaching staff focused on tactical training, which varied between offensive and defensive aspects. Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira then went on to hold a practice match between the players, during which tactical moves were applied.

U23 trio join training

Three Al-Sadd players who had been away with the Qatar U23 team – Meshaal Al-Shammari, Salem Al-Hajri and Meshaal Barsham – rejoined the squad in Austria for preseason training after the end of their participation with the national team in the AFC U23 Championship qualifiers.
