Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Kharaitiyat; Ferreira announces the squad

The Al-Sadd football first team concluded its preparation for its season opener with a final training session that began on 6:15 PM on Thursday. The Wolves will begin their season with the QSL Round 1 match against Al-Kharaitiyat, which will kick off at 8:10 PM at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.

At the end of the session, Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the squad list for the Al-Kharaitiyat match.

The 18 man list consists of Saad Al-Dosari, Mohammed Ezzeldeen, Musab Khodr, Abdulaziz Al-Ansari, Mohammed Kasola, Morteza Pouraliganji, Jugurtha Hamroun, Xavi, Ali Asad, Gaser Yahya, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Qasim, Pedro, Hossam Kamal, Salem Al-Hajri, Khalfan Ibrahim, Baghdad Bounedjah and Ibrahim Majid.

The coaches used Thursday’s session to implement the physical training module, in addition to light technical training. Later, the team departed for a closed camp at the Movenpick Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.

• Karim and Muhannad ruled out of the opener

Al-Sadd defender Abdelkarim Hassan and goalkeeper Muhannad Naim will both miss out on the season opener against Al-Kharaitiyat. Muhannad is down with an illness while Abdelkarim is recuperating after undergoing surgery on his left hand.
